Default Problems with AMV Convert Tool 4.0

For some reason, when i convert using AMV convert tools 4.0, my MP4 player will play a portion of the AMV and then after that.... It errors!

However, if i were to use version 3.68 (I think, welll.. the one before 4.0), it plays perfectly. I dont know what is the cause of this. So I tried converting the same files, with all the same attributes. Making 2 of the same video, for testing.

(128X128, Mode 2, Other Codecs Enabled, High Frame rate)

The one by 4.0 errors after playing a little portion, and the older version came out clean.

Could this be a flaw in the newer version?

To give more information about my system...:
-MP4 Player with 1.5, Latest Firmware
-Win XP SP2, + latest Codecs (KL mega codecs pack)

Is anybody else having the same problem?
Thanks in advance!

Default Problems with AMV Convert Tool 4.0

Zepheris

Thanks for posting your result with the AMV Convert Tool 4.0 here. I haven't fully tested it myself. It was released over the internet not so long ago. You're the first to mention a problem with it. It's good that you tested it against ver 3.68 as well. It seems to point to ver 4.0 instead.

If anyone else has any problems with the AMV Convert Tool 4.0, please post your feedback here.....

admin> No problem

I always like to keep my stuffs up to date. When I get home, I'll try to convert movies using different attributes, to test the outcomes. Hopefully, there will be a newer version released to correct these errors.

I hope...

Zepheris,

The only thing that I can think of is that output may not actually be correct resolution.
This is easy to check, fortunately.

Simply convert same project again using same parameters then when movie pops up w/ the amv player, right click on it, go to 'property' and post results here. My guess is it is somehow converting to a 160x128 resolution. If not, (128x128) then try unistalling it and reinstall. Then try it again. Please be sure to unistall previous ver. so there are no conflicts.

good luck,
I

Have the same problems, after 2 or 3 seconds get the error "FORMAT ERROR". Using the 3.68 every 5 second of vision there is a little slowdown that is not too good to see. What can I do to watch a movie correctly?
Thanks

Duff here, Yeah I too have the same problem with 4.00. It seems like 3.68 is a lot more effective than the 4.00 is.

Cheers

I have the same problem, the application runs great and you can see the videos on the AMV player but after 20 seconds the video freezes on my MP4 or even says "file error".

Same problem as Zepheris here- after upgrading to 4.0 files don't play, only first few seconds, then garbled screen and get the infamous format error, never had this problem before, I reformatted multiple times with windows, I uninstalled amv conerter 4.0 and went back to 3.68, and everything's back to normal,

__Also has anyone tried to figure out the Media Manager Prog that came with 4.0??? I can see it's use, like an Itunes knock off, keep files on desktop as media library and copy back and forth from MP4 player, but it sucks, and still no support for playlists, which I don't need, just break files into diff directories,
