Default Converting to amv and playing MP4

Hi all,

Just got my new MP4 player today from China.

I have installed the amv 3.57 software, I've converted a wmv to amv and played it on the MP4 player no problems.

But I'm having trouble converting an MP4 file to amv. As soon as it tries to convert it just says 'error'

Also I wondered if anyone know why my player won't play MP$ as it's called an MP$ player on the darn box!!

I'm sure these questions are not new but I did spend half an hour looking around the forum trying to find it.

My Player is a 2Gb slim black thing, looks kinder like a rip off of the ipod series

Your help is really appreciated ;-)

Buster1, Your error problem is more than likely due to a codec problem, download and install this
http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...gory&cat_id=12

Also you should upgrade to version 3.68 of the conversion software here
http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=2

That should fix things.

OK, Ive downloaded and installed both those pieces of software and still I get the error? Please help.

OH...and by the way, I've now found out that an MP4 player doesn't play MP4's. The Chineese are great eh!!

Still, good player for the money.

Where are you getting the error message, when you convert the video or when you play the amv on your player?

The error message is displayed within the conversion application under the 'Status' column

Buster, are you able to convert files other than MP4, like .avi, wmv, etc

Yes, I've converted wmv files to amv and transfered them to the player and watched them without problems. I suppose the MP4 file could be corrupt but it plays ok in the amv viewer!!??

Buster, you may find you have to convert the MP4 to an avi first.

Hello Guys

I need help on downloading AMV Converter. Recently, I read about how you guys locate people to this website to download http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=6
which is the page to download, but I could not find the navigation button to hit on download. Is it the "File - SLD Codec Pack 2.2 (6.34MB)"
Thank you

Chloe
