Yeah the ones here when I convert them are fine. However anything longer than 5 minutes gets screwed up when it comes to audio.

AGoldenberg, Are you saying the samples will only play for 5 minutes and then screw up. Or your conversions only play for 5 minutes?

So the sample AMV videos from this site works ok on your player without the choppy audio sound?

The sample audio files work fine and the videos as well.

I found out the problem. The problem is with my videos. The ripping software that most people use don't rip the audio portion properly.

I successfully loaded a couple podcasts and the audio is fine. Thanks for the help.

AGoldenberg, Good to hear. :)

Not really. I mean podcasts work fine, because the people taking the audio know what they are doing.

The vidoes I want to put on it are fine when I watch them on the PC, but when I covert em and stick em on my player, they skip.

The sound quality has to bear near perfect and even at that, the audio on the files that do not skip is so low you can barely hear it.

Re: Problem Upon Conversion To AMV

Hi

I am new to the site and need some help please.

I have recently bought a 1gb mp4 player. In an attempt to put some video files on it I followed the instructions on installing the amv converter, i made sure that media player was updated and that i had directx9 as stated.

I managed to convert the file i was trying to however when i downloaded to my player and tried to watch it i have great sound but no picture...

I have downloaded the sample videos and played them with no problems.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks
Angel

It sounds like a CODEC problem. The AMV Convert Tool might not have the necessary codecs to decode your video file. Try install the latest codec pack and see if that helps....?

AGoldenberg,

Are you still having problems with the podcasts?
I don't know much about podcasts or what format it's encoded with. Perhaps the AMV Convert Tool can't decode those files properly? Hence producing the choppy sounds....?

The converter just sucks in general. Doesn't convert properly. The video and audio have to be of the BEST quality to get a crappy result for my player.
