amv conversion keeps replaying after 3 seconds

:( Just converted avi file to amv using tools 3.67 and 3.68 with same result. After successfull conversion player opens but only plays the first 3 seconds then starts from beginning again. Plays to 3 seconds mark and you guessed it, starts over again.
Anyone like to venture an opinion why? Have tried 3 different files with the same result.

craigievar, has this just started to happen? Try downloading some sample AMV files from the download section and see if they run.

Also if you could upload one of your files to rapidshare and leave a link I will see if it runs on my player.

that way we will find if the problem is with your player or with the conversion of the file.

Re: amv conversion keeps replaying after 3 seconds

tadad1. My fault was explicit enough. By player opening I mean the player attached to the mp3 tools (amv player installed on my computer) not my actual MP3 player. Sorry

craigievar, Have you tried the amv file on your mp4 player, if so what happens there?

How big are the files you are converting andwhat size are they when they are converted?

What happens if double click on the file does it play then?

Sorry for so many questions I am trying to track down where the problem is coming from.

Also what operating system are you using?

Try playing some sample .AMV files which are on our site (under "Downloads" --> "Samples" section). Play them with the AMV Player on your computer (as you say this is the one with the problem) and see if they are also causing the same problem.

I`ve the same problem two weeks ago. I just repaired my firmware and video start to play OK!

Romik, Are you saying you did a firmware backup with s1fwx, then ran the repair.bat and reloaded it to your player and the video then worked OK?

If so it may be worth a try.
