Stripes (green-purple) in converted AMS
 

HI,

I cinverted some DVDs into AMS using first convert them into avi using PocketDivxEncoder but in some cases the result was unwatchable due to image - distored by green-purple stripes and running image... Any advice what this caused?

lcask1, This sometimes happens with PocketDivxEncoder try selecting a different device preset at the top of the Advanced settings.

Yes, unlike what has been posted elsewhere, not all Device settings for Pocket DivX Encoder work well with AMV Converter. From experimenting, I had best luck with the "Palm Tungsten" setting.

Since this is likely a sync problem, I would also checkmark "IVTC". Checking IVTC was the only way I could get *.wmv (renamed to *.mp4) conversion to work.
