Default Convert iTunes video to any other format (avi, MTV, AMV etc)

Anyone know a program that will convert the iTunes MP4 format, everything i have tried hasn't let me.

I remember back in the day a program that was like a screen capture program, it would capture anything for a particular window and even record the sound, anyone know a program similar to this?

Don't really feel like downloading all the tv eps again after i paid to legally download them

Hi Razzer001,

I stopped using itunes for downloading music due to their almost "FortKnox" approach to security , which meant I couldnt convert their tracks to mp3 from the protected aac format. To be honest I havent found a way to get past the protection on the files, and I think this is the same for music videos / film shorts. Most websites allowing you to pay per video download have some form of protection built in ( think Wmv has DRM or similar - and you cant get past it - at least not yet ! )

There is a program on the web called TUNEBITE which allows you to re-record the video and save as an unprotected new file- which should then be easily convertable to amv - but it does cost a few pounds, and reading their forum suggests it has its drawbacks.

Cheers

Si

When I purchase a video on itunes I play the video on my desktop using itunes. My desktop has a composite video output on it. Then I use DVD Xpress on my laptop to capture the video and audio output from my desktop pc.
I do the same for music. As soon as I buy a song I play it on the desktop and then capture it on my laptop using a free program called 'Audacity'. It allows me to save in MP3 format. Then it goes into my MP3 collection.
I haven't noticed any drop in quality. There may be. But I can't tell so it's good enough for me. Frees me up of all that protected crap.
