( SOLVED )Converting downloaded avi files to amv

Sorry if this has been discussed, but am getting confused with all the conversion of conversion etc - my problem is this:-

I can download wmv / mpg / mpg files etc from a torrent site no problem and convert to amv. This has worked no problem everytime I use it.

When I download an avi file ( divx ? ) - I can download it from the torrent site no problem, but when I run it through the amv converter ( 3.68 ) - it ends almost immediately in error, so an unsuccesful convert.

I have downloaded the codec pack, and enabled option for trying other codecs -but still no joy AAARGGG !

Am I doing something obviously wrong ?

Sorry guys - solved my own problem

Had another torrent download in operation whilst trying to convert the previous download - I cleared the cache of temp files - and reattempted the conversion to amv, and it worked fine.

Problem thankfully solved :)
