dhiren, sounds like you are missing the right codecs to convert the file, try installing RealMedia Player or the K-Lite Mega codec pack a Google search should find both for you.

Re: conversion of .mov to .amv files

Hi dhiren

Have a look at this post: can not convert *mov video to *amv.

You might need to convert the Quicktime files first to .AVI or .WMV before you can convert it using the AMV Convert Tool.

What you can do is try to install the SLD Codec Pack 2.2. Download it from here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=6

You can also try using the RAD Video Tools to convert your Quicktime files as well.

Hope that helps.
Good luck.

What version of the AMV Convert Tool are you using? Best to use ver 3.68 as it's more stable.

Re: conversion of .mov to .amv files

hi
I am using 3.68 version . icould convert one file from mov to avi and then to amv and play it but with no audio.
the other one could be converted to amv but the screen would appear white with no pictures and the play button would show that it is playing with no picture and no sound.
is there a solution?

Sounds like the .MOV file might be using a newer codec than what is in the SLD Codec pack on our site. I would say try to search the internet to see if you can find an updated Codec for the .MOV playback instead then install it on your computer and see if that helps.

If I find anything, I'll post a reply.

If anyone else know of a newer and better codec pack, then please reply too.

dhiren,

can you also .zip up the .MOV file of yours and upload it to the site? Would love to try to convert it and see what happens....
