Re: amv video problem

I think the problem might actually be the FRAMES PER SECOND on the original movie file.

Use VirtualDub to check the frames per second of your original file and let us know what it is. It should be less than 30fps. Anything more than that will cause the 'choppy' videos as frames will be dropped during the .AMV conversion.

aillez, The average frame rate is around 30 frames per second, when you convert to AMV (Version 3.68) and use high frame rate setting it sets the frame to 12 fps so what the converter does is use every second frame up to the 24th frame and then drops the last 6 frames which causes a skip.
If you convert to AMV using the Medium Frame Rate setting it will convert at 10 frames per second so it will use every third frame up to 30 and not drop any frames at the end.
So although you are losing 2 frames per second the video will be smoother.
Here are the settings I recommend:

aillez, glad you got the problem fixed. :)

aillez

So you reduced the frames per second to 25 fps and it's working ok now?? Is that right?

Did you use the "medium" or "high" settings?

If your problem has been solved, if you can [edit] your original post and put [solved] in the front that would be great.

Re: amv video problem

alrite i already got my video lagging problem fixed. lowering down the fps may work and most of the time it does but the quality will be lowered.

well to fix my video lagging problem i used a 3-step conversion method:

1st, using pocket divx encoder convert it to avi with the settings given by vegas215.com,
2nd, using Imtoo 3gp converter(or any other brand), convert the avi to mpeg-1, dont use mpeg-2, it'll mess up the video
Finally, used the amv converter to convert the mpg to amv

Done. Videos not lagging and quality preserved

i'll try this method !!!
