sync and size of amv screens

hi all.
ive been using an mp4 player for a few months now but i have problems with 2 things, firstly the sync for the voice is very often out with the visual and second, ive improved the size of the screen to try and fit the 1.5 screen i have but i still have a black banner stating the film name on the bottom and a black banner at the top with amv written on it. can these be erased?

actually ive just realized a third problem, often the player freezes stating format error whilst im watching it. i convert the size of the screen to 128*128. could that be the problem?

the biggest problem i have with the voice sync is when i record tv onto my pc then convert it to amv to watch on my mp4 later.

any one any ideas please?

regards

I can not help as I am behind you on the learning curve. How did you upsize the video so that you only have the banner lines at the top & bottom? I have those and the video is surrounded by a black field as well. My screen is 1.5"x1.5".

pb, To the best of my knowledge the black banner and text can not be removed from your firmware as it is a default setting. You are better off encoding your AMV at 128x96 this will most likely fix your "Format Error" problem as well.

How great is the difference in voice and video sync?

Guest, It sounds like you are converting your AMV at 96x94. If you read the guide on converting AMV files in the Knowledge Base it will show you how to adjust the settings to 128x96

Do you have any voice sync issues on the original .AVI file itself?

Try download some sample .AMV files from our website, play them your player and see if there are any voice sync issues with them. If they play fine with no issues with the voice being out of sync, then we know it's not a problem with your player and more a problem with the video file or the encoding method you used.

Let me know of your result.
