Hi Phil

Take it you didnt install the SLD Codec pack I advised in yesterdays post then ?

Windows Media Player seems precarious with playing certain file extentions, avi being one of them - I use Media Player Classic, as it seemes to handle any type of file ( as far as I know ).

Glad you are sorted - you may want to add a ( solved ) in yesterdays and todays posts so that others know it worked out.

Happy MPX'ing - cheers !

Si

Re: STILL CONVERTER PROBLEMS!!!!

I think you'll find the MPUI front end to MPlayer plays more formats better and more consistently than Media Player Classic.

Mplayer is the "player" part of the Hungarian-developed Mencoder, which happens to also be the basic "conversion engine" behind Pocket DivX Encoder and Mencoder264. Mplayer came from the Linux world and is now, IMO, the best player for Windows too.
