full screen problems with 1.8
hello.
i have a problem viewing movies in full screen with my 1.8 player i'm using virtualdub to resize the movie and rotate it but when i'm converting the video with the amv tool even when i'm using the 160*120 it masses up the video size. what do i do? thanks!!! |
bkcproject, Try the new version of MP3 Player Utilities 4.03 as it now has a rotation setting. You can find it in the Download>Tools section.

thanks! the video does rotate. but now i have a new problem. the player stops the video and shows an error massage after a few seconds every time i try to play the video. (i've tried both high and middle in the settings) do you know whats wrong? |
bkcproject, If you are using version 4.0 try 3.57, I have posted the settings here http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=449

BUT THE 3.57 CANT ROTATE THE VIDEO
CAN IT? |
BKCPROJECT,
No 3.57 does not have the rotation option. If your player does not automatically rotate the video for full screen viewing then you may have some problems trying to get full screen. This is why. Version 3.57 you can not rotate the video. Version 4.0 you can rotate the video but you can not adjust the frame rate. Version 4.03 you can rotate the video and adjust the frame rate but I have not been able to get it to convert at 160x120. Even though it is set to this it converts at 174x128 which will not play. |

first of all thanks for youre help! and second. 4.03 converts and flips the video properly the problem is tjat i keep getting a format error everytime i try to play the video. is there a way to solve this? |
BKCPROJECT, If you are running a 1.8 LCD 4.03 is never going to do it as it will not convert to 160x120 even though it has a setting for it. If you play a converted file on your PC with AMV Player, while it is running right click on the picture and select properties you will see it is actually 176x128 which is just going to keep crashing your player.

is there a way to update the firmware in my player
so it would automaticly rotate? |
Try changing the video rate to MEDIUM instead of HIGH as the HIGH setting might be too much for your player to handle and hence crashes....
Try that and let me know what the result is... |
