Convert VOB files to Amv`

how do i convert from vob to amv. do i need any other program other than amv video convert

dansvob1, AMV Converter will conver VOB files directly provided you have the right codecs installed on your PC.

Kindly provide the details of codec required for converting vob files.

Have a look at our [Downloads] --> [Drivers/Codecs] section of our site.

You can download theK-Lite Mega Codec Pack which should let you convert .VOB to .AMV.

Otherwise you might have to convert the .VOB files to .MPG instead then convert that .MPG to .AMV if you have problems.

Hi Binh!

Tried with K Lite Codec but without success , though I had selected "other codec" while using AMV Converter.

As regards your suggestion to convert vob > mpeg, could you please guide me whether it would be possible with AMV Converter V 4.00 or to use some other third party software ?

Your feed back in this respect would be highly appreciated.

jasstone, There is a freeware program called xmpeg that you can download from HERE that will convert DVD files to AVI or Mpeg

Thanks for your guidance. Yes we can convert vob to avi /mpeg using xmpeg. However, the quality is not so impressive as compared to the quality of vcd files viz. dat / mpeg.
