AMV converter 1.5" screen size

I downloaded MP3 player utilities from your site. I'm trying to convert MPG files to play on my chin-nano 1.5" screen. I followed the instructions on your site but the screen size option of 128 x 96 is not an option. the smallest size is 160 x 120. I've tried a bunch of conversion but can't get it to work. What screen size should I choose. I also have the stock firmware (got the unit today) should or do I need to convert that also ?

Re: AMV converter 1.5" screen size

enter in the main program file (Example: C:/ my programs/MP3 player utilities 3.57.

then go to sub folder AMVtools....once there click to "transformsetup"...

and YouŽll get this:

[Setup]
Overwrite=TRUE
Insertwave=FALSE
Insertpic=FALSE
Transplay=TRUE
Trycode=TRUE
VFBS=middle
VWH=160*120

if You want full screen donŽt touch VWH size
put VFBS=low to decrease frame rate and it will work.

For a 1.5 screen 128x128 is full screen, 128x96 is widescreen. If you downloaded version 4.03 or 4.00 you need to go to the AMV Converter folder and open the AmvTransform.ini with notepad and change the setting as follows CHIPTYPE=0 (if it is set to one the sizing options for 1.8 screens will only be available) then save. You should now bw able to set the size to suit your screen size.

If you find when playing the AMV file on your player that you receive a "Format Error" then lower the frames per second to Medium and try again.

If you are converting to 128x128 you will get better results if you use a program like VirtualDub to pre-process your video before conversion to AMV. That way you can set the framerate and resize to 128x128 before you convert.
