tadad1,I am not suggesting you try a different firmware which would be risky but extracting the one off your player then after repairing it load it back. Others have posted that this has fixed video problems for them. Failing that not a lot more I can suggest. There is a post about the problem HERE

Re: Audio sounds screwed up when a video is played on my mp4
Ah ok, so there is minimal risk with this repairing the firmware?
|
NZNillskill,
There should be no risk unless you have a power faliure or unplug the cord half way through the upgrade. |
Re: Audio sounds screwed up when a video is played on my mp4
Ok thanks so so so much :)
Right now i have just used the s1fwx.exe to extract the firmware and have ran repair.bat to fix it. Now i just need to put it back on my player? Craig |
NZNillskill, Just use the MP3 Upgrade tool to load it back to your player.

hey Craig,
Can you try the following and let me know please? 1. Changing your earphones to another set of earphones. 2. Try downloading the sample video files we have on our site. 4. Reformat your player and do a "disk check" from Windows. Let me know if they help. |
Re: Audio sounds screwed up when a video is played on my mp4
Hello!
Ive tried all of what u ask they made no difference sadly :(. I tried the santana mtv movie clip and still the same problems with the audio. Thanks, Craig |
NZNillskill, Unfortunatly not having a player that uses MTV I can not experiment to try and help you find a solution. I am curious though that in your first post you mentioned that some of the mpeg's you converted with version 3.0 were fine. This makes me think that you need to convert from a specific file type maybe an old mpeg format or something. Do you recall what files you converted that worked ok?
Have you found another copy of version 3.o and tried using it? |
Hi, just tried to convert a video that used to work with 3.11 and still the same :( I notice its kinda like the audio is in fast motion and there is distortion of some kind, maybe not distortion but yeah its just wierd. But yeah still same problems and i cant get hold of mp3 tools 3.11 anywhere :(.
