Default 1.8' Full Screen (160x120) HELP ME PLZ :P

Like i said in the topic, i have this problem... i installed 3.68 but it can convert only to 128x128 maximum... then i downloaded 4.03 but the 160x120 video crash on my mp4 player... i tried to instal 3.57 but i can't because i have the 3.68 installed and i can't uninstall the 3.68 because of some failure of the windows packaging installer or something like that.. even getting rid of it from registry doesn't help... BTW i'm new in this i got my MP4 player yesterday

4.03 is no good for 160x120 because despite the setting it actually converts them at 176x128 which is why they crash so uninstall that. Run regedit and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/INSTALLER/PRODUCTS, one of the numbered folders will be for 3.68 so delete it, then delete the program folder from wherever you installed it. 3.57 should now install. There is no setting in 3.57 for 160x120 so what you have to do is start a conversion with it then stop and close the program.This will generate a file called transformsetup.ini in the install folder. Go to the install folder and open the transformsetup.ini in notepad and edit VWH=160*120. After you have done this it will convert to 160x120. Do not go into settings though or they will return to default just load your video and convert. If you find your converted AMV files give you "format error" when you try to play them on your player go back to the transformsetup.ini and change to VFBS=medium to lower the frame rate.
I find I get best results if I pre-process with VirtualDub, there is a guide on how I set it up HERE. An additional setting if you are using AMV Converter set to high frame rate then in VirtualDub press CTRL+R and select convert to fps and set to 16. If you are using medium setting in AMV converter set fps to 12.

Kero-Chan, Open regedit and press CTRL+F and do a registry scan for "MP3 Player Utilities 3.68" and see if you can find another installer folder. Have you installed any other versions?

I found an easy way to create 160x120 AMV files is to install mpx tools 4.0 somewhere you can edit files manually (I installed it normally on Windows Vista, then copied the installation to a document directory), then edit the file AmvTransform.ini so that the line starting VIDEOSIZE is this:

VIDEOSIZE=160x120(8;10;12),128X96(8;10;12),128X128 (8;10;12)

This changes the options available for the resolution of the transformed video files, and makes the default 160x120. Of course you need to run AmvTransform.exe from the place you edited the ini file.

I hope I haven't made that sound complicated (it isn't).
