amv converter...

hi.. i wan to ask.. y some videos can be converted n some canot? is there any other ways to convert to amv?

tadad1 26th Jul 2006 3:43 am

undead,
What video formats are you having trouble converting?
You may need to install some codecs on your computer so that the AMV Converter can decode the video you are trying to convert.
Try installing the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack HERE
Let us know if this helps.

erm... fren.. i dun hav any credit cards or wat... can get for free?

Hey "undead" the suggestion tadad1 has provided is exactly right. He is providing you with a download link for codecs and the download is free you do not need to pay for it so dont worry, just go ahead and install the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and then try using the AMV Converter to convert your videos.

There is only ONE .AMV converter, but different versions exist.

Can you give me more details of your problem please?

1. What file type are you trying to convert? Is it .AVi divX or Xvid or .VOB or something else?

2. What is the error message?

3. After you installed the codec pack, are you able to PLAY the file?

4. Also, have you followed the instructions on our Knowledge Base - How to: Convert to .AMV using the MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 from here yet?

Look forward to your answers.

Did you put the tick in "try other codec" in your AMV Converter instead?

I would say best to try one file type at a time. Then fine where it's failing most on so we can find a pattern.

.AVI should convert fine.
.MOV needs to be converted to .AVI.
.3gp needs to also be converted to .AVI before converting to .AMV.

Try converting .AVI files firstly to see if you get an error then try converting the other formats to .AVI too and then to .AMV.
