Default ***Video Stops Suddenly!***

Hi Guys

I got my first chin-nano last week I noticed that i plays really well, fm radio is awesome battery life around 3 hours long

but when it comes to video it kinda sucks. first it came loaded with 2 videos already one a movie trailer for terminator 3! wow thats old  (deleted it right away) and a new music video with some teenage girl thats really famous in the states

anyhow i've tried coverting movies using the amv converter tool 4.03 and dowload them to the player and try to play them it works fine for 3 seconds and then the video stops and goes on to the next video which i also converted and that one stops too and freezez my frame then i have ti turn off the player and start all over again

and now im only able to play the one video it came with, bummer

im really frustrated try to find the amv converter tool 3.57to download like you guys suggested in your other posts trying to fix the same problem for 3 days straight but theres is no link to download that tool anywhere and i've looked around the web and nothing comes up

help im losing sleep and I feel like im might die if i don't see a video soon on my chin-nano  j/k

i would really like to play a video thought

thanks in advance for your help

sincerely

joe

Joe,
If you are converting at the 160x120 setting in 4.03 it is actually converting your AMV files at 176x128 which is why they are crashing.
If you play one on your PC with AMV Player and right click on the picture while it is running and select poperties you will see the size. 4.03 is only any good if you have a 1.5 LCD and want 128x128 or 128x96 but even then you have to unlock the settings by editing the AmvTransform.ini and changing to CHIPTYPE=0.

If you want 3.57 it is in the Download section HERE and you can find how to set it up HERE

If you want to improve the quality of your AMV files you can pre-process them with VirtualDub to resize, crop etc. There is a guide on how to use VirtualDub HERE and you can download it HERE

joe, glad you got your video sorted. For now stay away from any chipods over 2GB, still have seen no proof they really exist but lots of proof they do not.
