Default I can't get .avi files to work

Hi,
I just got my mp4 from uxcell.com. For the video section, it only supports .avi files. I can't seem to identify the chip on it. I tried many many different files but the only compatible is .avi. So I tried to encode .avi files. I used many different settings, but nothing works. When I try to play videos, it always says something like file support failed.
I went through all the forum and I'm left without a solution... x_x

Sotz, If the player you bought is the ***NEW***Rhodium - 2 inch TFT LCD MP4 Player w/ Speaker 256MB - Black(Support SD card) then according to the specs:
:100% BRAND NEW High Quality MP3 / MP4 / PMP AMV Player
:Support WMV, MPG, MPEG I, MEG II, and AVI Convert to AMV playing (Software included)
So it only supports AMV format video which means you have to convert all your video to this format. With a 2.0 inch screen it should support a resolution of 208x176 at 10fps but you will find they will run smother if you convert them to 208x144 at 12fps.
You will need MP3 Player Utilities 4.05 to get the AMV converter for these sizes, you can download it HERE

It seems you have a portable media player than a MP4 player as it plays .AVI files. Currently, MP3/MP4 players don't play .AVI files directly.

You might want to try this tool here: SunPlus PMP Transcoding which can be downloaded from here.

Try installing this and let me know if it works for you or not.

I think you have rockchip player [ i have this => http://allegro.pl/item132183401_nowo...i_jpg_230.html ]
you can try this program it comes with my player. AVIconverter
Sometimes it gives mencoder.exe error - its a conflict with other software, installing fresh windows should help.

Hey tadad1,
the website information is wrong. I've tried .amv files and they doesn't appear in the video section. Only .avi format video does. Thanks anyways for your kindness

Dear admin,
the PMP Transcoding tool converts every video to ASF format only. You must have made a mistake about that. Thanks tho for trying to help

Hi WilsonPl,
apparently from the look of your music layout, we have the same firmware.... and about the program you offered me....... THANKS A LOT!!!! It works perfectly!! I can finally see video on it. I'm so happy. thanks again ^^
