How to fast forward a video movie?

Hi all...

When i play a movie, i cant move fast foreward or rewind the movie, so, if the movie is 1 hour long and i am in the middle and i turn off my device or i play another movie, when i want to watch my movie in the point i was before, i cant, i must watch the movie again from the beginning.

do you know how to fast foreward a movie, or a song?

on my plyr i can just hold the fast forward button... looks like this: ->>

bikebogota, holding down the <<and>> buttons while the video is running should FF or REW, but it is so slow if you need to get to the middle of a movie. I split all my movies into 4 or 5 files before converting. I use VirtualDub and save a s a segmented .avi but if you do a Google search for Video Splitters there are a few other freeware programs available.
