Full Screen Video Problem (Mac User)

Hi everyone!!

First I just want to say a big thank you for this great site - the information on here has been so helpful!!! :D

I have an Uxcell Diamond MP4 player with 1GB of memory and a 1.8 screen, which I love, everything about it is fantastic and I'm so happy with it, it's a great little player! :D

Ok, on to the problem - my player only plays AMV files, I'm a Mac user and as we all know there is no AMV converter for Mac. I know some people have managed to install the software via a Windows Emulator software, but I haven't used that because there seems to be no free versions online. Anyway, I found an online conversion site (media-convert) which converts files to AMV, I managed to convert some files to AMV but when I played them on my player, they appeared small in the middle of the screen with a black border, not full screen size! :( I have seen other people have the same problem on here and have been advised to use a special trick where the convertion is stopped part way through the the resulting file size changed - but that is for the AMV converter software which I can't use.

I was just wondering if anyone can think of any way that I can manage to convert files via the media-convert website and make them full size on my screen?

I have tried to resize the files to 160X120 before they are converted to AMV..but that didn't work! :( My player originally came with two small videos (you know the La Isla Bonita video that everyone gets! hahaha ;) ) and those videos work perfectly full screen size, also I downloaded the Jesus Christ video that was uploaded in the sample files and that works perfectly too, it's only the files I have converted myself that appear small.

Here is my firmware information....

Any help/advice that you can give me would be really appreciated!! Thank you!!

Elisse, Interesting info I had not heard of this site. I had a look at it and can find no way of adjusting the size. 96x64 which is the resolution being converted to is the default size originally for 1.2 inch players.

I have read of some mac owners using Parallel Desktop and being able to run the PC AMV converter. You can download a 15 day trial HERE but then you would also need to obtain a copy of Windows XP so may not be much help to you.
