dsmith, Lowering the frame rate to medium on your 128x128 AMV conversions will generally fix format error problems.
If your player came with a sample video copy it to your PC and open it with the AMV Player, while it is running right click on the picture and select properties. This should show you the settings used in the sample. High= 12fps, Medium = 10fps and Low =8fps.
If you are still having problems then you may need to pre-process your video and lower the frame rate to the same rate you are using on your amv conversions. If they are .avi files you can do that with VirtualDub HERE by loading the video, on the menu bar select Video>Frame rate and then set as shown to 12,10 or 8fps. Then select File>Save as avi and then try your AMV conversion at the same frame rate.
