.AMV converter download
 

Hi all just joined, and I am trying to download the AMV converter, but am I just stupid or where is the download button. I seem to be going to different pages but no link to download the actual file. Please any help would be much appreciated.

macdon46, What version are you trying to download? What size is your players LCD?

macdon46, There are about 7 versions which one you need depends on your players screen size, what is your LCD size 1.5 or 1.8?

macdon46, Version 3.68 is the best for 1.5 you can download it here:

If you are using a download utility you need to turn it off as rapidshare will not let you download with one unless you have a paid account.
If you still have problems I will upload it to sendspace for you which is a little more user friendly.

i have amv convert tool 3.68 installed. Now wants to install version 4.00 or higher. it says i need to remove old version first. but uninstall gives problem.

any way out to uninstall/install?

also on another system, wwhen i try to install version 4.00 it says "application will not be installed as it might be unsafe, contact your admin to change installation user interface to basic"

what does that mean -system in win xp

To uninstall it you need to delete the folder from the Program Files folder then open regedit and got to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall. You will find a series of subfolders with alpha numeric names like this {7784A172-61F1-445E-8368-601607E0DD22} click on each one until you find the entry related to MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 displayed in the right panel, then delete this folder. Then do the same here HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Pro ducts\
You should now be able to install a new version.

I would say that on the other computer you are logged on with a limited user account.

Just a note 3.68 is far more stable than 4.0 so if you have a 1.5 LCD player you should stick with 3.68

If you have a 1.8 then use 3.57 setup as posted here

thanks, i just wanted to upgrade as i was getting virus message (and that i had reported some time back-but was told it is virus free). But now it seems one more file - virus free is available for download. will try to install the same.
thank you once again for the suggestions.

forgot to add - other computer i am not loggen on with limited account- though i am new to windows xp - i am using administation/supervisor equivalent status. is there anything to be done in xp setting?

also what about stability of 4.05 or some newer version. does it offer to change brighness/contrast?
