HOW TO: Turn video 90 degrees + convert in 128x128 in v4.05
 

Hello.
This is a tutorial that can learn you how to turn a video 90 degrees and convert a video into 128x128 or 128x96 in mp3 player utilities version 4.05!
Ok, lets start:

1. Open Your mp3 player utilities directory:

Propaly in C:\Program Files\MP3 Player Utilities 4.05

2. Select and open the folder "AMVConvert"

3. Find the AmvTransform.ini, looks like this:

4. Now, u should see notepad. Find the lines BMPADJUST=0 and CHIPTYPE=1 :

If you want to convert videos in the small sizes: 128x128 or 128x96, then change CHIPTYPE=1 to CHIPTYPE=0
but if you want to convert in the normal size settings, then leave the line as it is.

And if you want to play movies that turns 90 degrees then change BMPADJUST=0 to BMPADJUST=5

5. Finally, save your changes, and try starting the converter, and when your convert is done then the video will automaticly be turned 90 degrees!
And the option to make a smaller movie will be unlocked!

I can not get a 160x120 flipped video to play on my 1.8 nano clone to save my life...

128x128 works like a charm i can even flip it but ofcourse that dont fill the screen but if i change to 160x120 and even use low quality it wont run at all just a still image...?

bL33d, Even though 4.05 has a setting for 160x120 it actually converts to a larger resoulution which is to bog for your 1.8 screen to handle which is why it is freezing.

If you want 160x120 rotated install version 4.00 then edit the AmvTransform.ini (in the amv converter folder) and set BMPADJUST=4.

Tried that still freezing.. :( owell i'll just use 128x128.

I cant change image quality or fps on these like i can 128x128 which i use high quality but maybe for 160x120 i should be useing medium?

This is a weak spot in the AMV Converter, 4.00 will convert and flip but you can not change the frame rate.
3.57 you can adjust the frame rate but can not flip.

You could try pre-processing the video with VirtualDub or another video editing program and set the frame rate to 16fps to match the amv conversion. "Zephyron" reported that by doing this he was able to play conversions that previously froze.
