Look in the downloads section for the AMV convert tool, to convert your video files for playback on your player. Good luck

Most of these MP3/MP4 players play .AMV or .MTV. There are other chipped players that play .SMV etc... However, there isn't one that actually plays .MP4 directly. If they do, then it would most likely be a Portable Media Player (PMP) instead.

On your player, did it come with any sample video files?

The description on some MP3/MP4 is misleading. While it says it can support "MP4", it doesn't mention that "conversion" is needed and that is generally to convert it to .AMV video instead.

Look for a sample video on your player, what extension does it have?

If you want to be sure, download a .MP4 file from the internet (Google search is good for that) and put it on your player and see if it plays. If it does, then great, it's a PMP, but most likely it will play .AMV instead.

Hi
I'm having problems with amv convert as my laptop does not support xp sp2 (issues with the sound card i think but could be the mobo chipset).Do you know of any software that convert video to amv without needing media player 10/11 or sp2.I have mediaplayer 8.xxx running ok at the moment. Thanks in advance
