Default [solved] SigmaTel - which video format my player supports?

hi today i just got this mp3 or mp4 thing, looks like an ipod but its not, anyway the name is "Sonar MP-808 1GBW" and the firmware version is 2.611 and is SigmaTel MSCN USB Device from Bestbuy. My question is "is there any firmware updates for it" and "is there anyway i can find which video format my player supports". The reason is because on the website of Bestbuy, it says it supports MP3,MP4 and while on the manual it says it supports WMV. Also on the player's box it says it only supports AMV for video. So im kinda confused.

Also for language, I listen to korean songs. It says it supports korean. But in language section in the System setting, it only says english and french. BUT sometimes i can see korean, but i when i click them to play, it scrambles into chinese.

Finally, my mp3 or mp4 is way different from the manual's discription. For instance, it says u can change the EQ thing via settings, but when i go there, all it say is custom setting.

SO plz! someone help me, i really love this MP3 or MP4.
HELP!

whatsup20, If possible do not try to update your new players firmware as it can lead to all sorts of problems and your player may become unusable.

If your player uses the Sigmatel chipset I suggest you try SMV video format. You can download a SMV converter here:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/new-smv-c...ool-df154.html

I am not fully familiar with sigmatel firmware so can not help with the language settings, generally all the options available are in the Settings>Language area where you have looked.
To access the equalizer settings try pressing the menu button while music is playing and see if there is an equalizer setting there.

SMV is "Sigmatel Motion Video", it is a video format used by Sigmatel Players.
