AVconverter for rockchip wont work for me

Hi, this is my first post and i am very new to the mp4 world..

I just came back from a holiday in Malaysia where i bought myself an mp4 player which i have now discovered from reading these posts has a rockchip...it came with the AVconverter program but it was all in chinese, i downloaded the new program 'AVIconverter 2.0' but when i try to convert nothing happens...i followed the instructions on the help file, i click convert now and just nothing happens..

can someone help me??

lugzlebo, have you installed a coddec pack, if not I suggest the K-Lite mega Codec Pack here;

Once installed reboot and try another conversion.

Hi Taddad,

I tried what you suggested, and it still didn't work. Once i install the codec do i have to open any of the files in the codec pack or play around with any settings, or should it just work once i've installed it?

are there any other programs that should convert files into an avi format that my player will support?

I have a rockchip player also and the file you gave will not play on my rockchip player because it has mp3 audio. These players I believe have to use mp2 audio format. This is a video sample that came with my player try this.

Tadad, the file you gave didnt work, but the file avionick uploaded worked!!

But i wanna convert my own videos, avionick do you know whats wrong with my AVconverter or do you know what other program i can use to make a clip in the format that you uploaded?

At this link you can dload the latest version for 2" players. It is in chinese so you have to remember which buttons are which or like I did print out the english manual from the 2.0 version. Also the window that tells you how far the conversion is (shown in % completed) does take a few moments to start working after you have selected "convert now". If this does not work then it may be a codec problem.

The scrubs file did not play in my player even though it did recognize the file.
