video stutter

I just purchased the glacier (have not received yet) so i downloaded 4.07 and have been fooling with it. if i try to convert videos to 208x160 or 208x176 at low middle or high fps i get video stutter. anything lower plays fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this. Thank you very much.

I tried 192x160, sync video and don't sync audio, setting high, it was way better on my Glacier. Defragment the player after transfer, or format it before you put anything on it (first save the standard files that are on, to copy back later). Really makes the player faster.

Re: video stutter

thank you que. Do you rotate the video or leave it normal?

Leave it normal, the player rotates it for you.

mark_1078, The AMV converter is not very good at calculating frame rate changes and tends to drop multiple frames in a row. You will find you get more fluid video if you pre-process the video and change the frame rate, resize, croping etc and then run it through the AMV Converter. I use VirtualDub there is a guide on most of it's ises here:

While the player will manage 208x176 at 10fps I found 208x144 at 12fps gives a better aspect ratio for wide screen movies and smoother video.
