File Format Error after converting vob to avi

I need help. I have a RockChip mp4 player. I've used just about every avi converter out there and nothing seems to work. I converted a vob to the same properties as the sample avi file in the player and I keep getting "File Format Error" when I try to play the converted vob to avi file. Any suggestions? This is driving me nuts.

You may need a CODEC installed on your computer so the converter can conver the VOB file to AVI.

Try the codec packs available from our site here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/drivers-codecs-dc12.html.

I would recommend "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack". Try downloading that, install it then try the conversion again and let us know of the result.

Try my tutorial found here.

Let me know how it goes, I also have a rockchip player and have overcome the problems your having now. The #1 problem is to insure to use MP2 audio not MP3 with the Xvid MPEG-4 video format. PM me for any further assistance.

If you haven't tried the 2.0 version of AVIConverter it is here.

I have met the same problem. I have set audio MP3 with the Xvid MPEG-4 video format, but it didn't work still on my RockChip mp4. It annoyed me a lot. Anyone can help me out?

Thanks a lot.

Thomas,

Rockchip players are very fussy and videos need to be in a specific height x width resolution for them to play correctly on your player.

Try downloading the files from here: Sample Rockchip videos with different screen sizes - MyMPxPlayer.org
It has a number of different .avi files with different sizes. See which one plays on your player and it will give you a better idea as to what size you need your video to be in for it to play on your player.
