FLV directly to AMV
 

Is it possible to convert FLV video files directly to AMV files for my MP4 player without converting it first to MPG?

Hope it's possible :)

i did some research but i still cannot find any direct conversion...but you may use total video converter...

AMV Converter will do it if you have certain codecs installed. I have K-Lite Codec pack installed and if you force AMV converter to show flv files by using *.flv wildcard (or simply telling it to show all files) then you should get it to play and convert them.

I do not gureentee they will play on your player since mine doesn't play amv files so I don't have a way of testing it, but once converted the amv converter/player will play it properly!

I would recommend getting the latest version of K-Lite to insure you are getting the one with FLV support.

thnx for the suggextion!! tankerbot, anyway i havent tried k-lite codec, ill download it first..by the way,,it would be better if you preconvert video files to the desired size of the player before cconverting to amv..
example: if you want 208x176 resolution, convert it first to avi DivX to 208x176 resolution and 10fps before converting it to amv using amv converter, this will make the video clearer, trust me, but if your time is precious enough yu may do the direct conversion,....

You can try using http://media-convert.com/ You upload the flv, it converts it and you download the amv file. You can not control video size or other settings, but if it works ok for your player then use it.
