crazygazza , if your player does not automatically rotate the screen whilst playing video files, you could instead pre-process your video before converting to .amv format.

Use VirtualDub, and there is a Rotate filter in it where you can rotate to 90deg, so your videos play in the landscape mode.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

crazygazza, Unfortunatly pre rotating won't help. The converter will just stretch it back to 160x120. There are 2 ways you can do this, the first using version 4.0, edit the AmvTransform.ini in the AMV Converter folder and set BMPADJUST to 4 or 5 depending on which way you want to rotate.
Secondly you can convert it normally and then run it through version 4.09 a second time using the "video convert" rotate settings.
The first option will give you the best quality though.

I have just tried bot those methods and the reason it keeps failing is because of the 120 x 160 bug in the programs where it converts it to 174 x 144 any other suggestions any way how to fix the bug

crazygazza, Here are some samples I just converted.

Method 1 using version 4.0 with AmvTransform.ini edited to BMPADJUST=4 HERE:

Method 2 converting to 160x120 as normal with either 3.57 or 4.0 then loading the .amv file into version 4.09 and and setting 90º rotation HERE:

I have tried playing both those files on my maipod and both frezze within 2 to 5 secs of playing I have compared the size of what they look like on my computer to my maipod and the res on the computer screen is still in the 2" rather than 1.8" so it's still to big and thats my problem I cant get them in the right size
