in another thread with the same title started by shinodan, he had asked me on how to replace the memory. i asked him to have a look at the chip number. so he has mentioned it here and i have directed him to have a look at the Samsung and Hynix Nand Flash Sizes thread started by tadad.

I think too, if my player is only 1Gb. But when I check it first time (my computer-properties), I saw the 4Gb.
I dont understand.

the reason is that the manufacturers of mp4 players hack the player so that the windows reads the fake memory size and not the actual one. that is why it is recommended to format using MP3 Disk Tool
