[solved] How to set default preferences on AMVConverter 3.68
 

In AMVTools folder located in Program Files, rename Settings.ini to Settingsold.ini for a backup.

Open settingsold.ini with Notepad.
The following will help you edit the file to create your own default preferences.


Quality

VFBS=high
VFBS=middle
VFBS=low

0 is 96x64
1 is 128x96
2 is 128x128

Image Quality

Imagequality=2

0 is high
1 is middle
2 is low

Imagezoom=1
Imagezoom=2
Imagezoom=3

0 is mode0
1 is mode1
2 is mode2
3 is mode3

bmpdir=
is used to change the default orientation of the video in the AMVPlayer using 0 through 3.

True is to enable that option (tic in the box), False disables it.

Once you have edited the file, Save AS settings.ini
Change the properties of the file to Read Only. If you don't, the program will change your settings the next time it closes.

The next time you run the program, you should see the changes.

This may work for other versions too.
