Video Playback Issue

http://i17.tinypic.com/2h6rryw.jpg Well I recently purchased that 4GB 1.5' mp4, I'm not really sure of the brand, can somene tell me. Also, I have one video that has worked. I've tried multiple times to put videos and they have all failed. First I get the video from you tube in flash format. Then, I convert the video into mpg with fliva encoder. Finally. I convert with amv converter. Thing is when they playback after conversion they work fine, but when I try to play them on my mp4 it starts at the same place for all videos, except the one video. Anyone have a step-by-step I should use to get videos to work better, or a better free program to change flash videos? |
Are you encoding to the proper resolution for your player? Have you verified that your player is indeed 4GB? How are all your videos starting in the same place?
I use AviSynth with Virtual Dub to pre process my videos before converting to AMV. I get very smooth playback and small file sizes. Sounds like your problem is with the player more than the AMV's themselves. Try downloading some of the sample videos in the download section and try those. Or if you like I can convert a test video for you in the resolution you need for your player. Hope this helps. :) |
I just tried to do another video and it showed that the video was the correct length, but stopped arounf 3 seconds into the clip. I was using 4.09 utilitles and im gonna try with an older version, a test video would be great. What is the best method for adding to the mp3? I use WMP for the music, but for the videos I've been using either direct from the conversion or media manager. Should I try something else?

What is the resolution of your player? From the picture above it looks to be a 1.5" screen, so I'm guessing you have a max resolution of 128x96. Let me know the max resolution of your player.

Yes it is 1.5 and I was looking at the guide for adding videos with the 3.68 software and I followed all steps and the video worked great. I think the 4.0+ software might be messed up. Also, I used the trial of total video converter indstead of fliva encoder, so thanks for all the help.
