Default Video Distortion

Ainol V200 - Love Life, Love Ainol (company moto - no joke!)
Click the image to open in full size.

Hello, I recently purchased an ainol v200 from ebay. everything works fine except for the video which seems to have green blocks appearing whenever i play something. It is watchable but highly annoying.

Any ideas what causing this? I've already tried updating the firmware - that didnt work. Im still experimenting with the converter tool, but the video that was supplied on the player also had the video distortion so I dont believe the avi's to be at fault.

Thanks for any help!!!

Since it happens with the video that came on the player, I would assume there is a hardware problem with your player. Try one of the videos in the download section that is in the correct resolution for your device.

Tried it but none of them work - my player runs xvid avi files. Im currently formating the disk, and trying out different xvid variants to get it to work. (yes im grabbing at straws)

Try this video that I encoded to XviD. It's 160x128 16 Fps 22050Hz audio.

Thanks for that but the player was unable to view it. The vids that have worked on it have been 20 fps and are for a 2 inch screen.

Also when i plugin the player into the computer it comes up with two removable disks. I read somewhere that the player supports mini SD. It could be a long shot but i cud always try putting the video on the other drive.

BUT another problem is that there appears to be no opening for a card to go in. Would I have to open up my player perhaps?

Im just speculating - i have no idea if tht would work!

Hello i've just formatted the disk and the problem seems to have decreased. The green blocks are less numerous and it seems to be reasonable now. Still annoying - i cant work out how to get rid of them or even work out if my rockchip player can use miniSD cards. If anyone has the following model - Ainol v200, then please make yourself known! thanks
