converting from avi to amv, lose video but sound is ok
 
when im converting one of my movies from avi to amv i lose ALL picture

The sound is still there but all visuals are lost (ie black screen)

I have tried converting the video with different codecs using virtual dub (ive tried Divx and Xvid)

How can i stop this happening?

Has anyone seen my new problem

Im running the video and about 5mins in the audio is about 10 seconds behind the video

How can i fix this?

Is this happening with ALL your .avi videos or only some?

What codec pack have you got installed on your computer? Try using the K-Lite Codec Pack (downloadable from our site as well). It seems the movie might use a codec that the AMV Converter is unable to recognise.

I could only get video when i converted the fiel to divx then to wmv

the audio codec is ACC
and the video is either divx or whatever wmv uses
