AMV videos runs fine for a few secs then speeds up

Hi

I have a sumovision MP3/Video player. I am using AMV converter to convert my video files to the format that works on the player. I have been converting various XVID/DIVX/WMA/AVI files to the AMV format.

Problem is when i play back the converted AMV files on my player the film runs fine for a few secs then speeds up for a fraction, then plays normal, speeds up. This repeats through the whole film. It is very annoying. Throughout the file the sound is fine.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? or can they suggest how I can get smooth AMV files?

TIA

bLaZeR666_uk,

It seems like you need to change the frames per second on your original video.

Try using VirtualDub (downloadable from our site as well) and use it to change the frames per second to 12 fps instead. Save the .avi file then us the AMV Convert Tool to convert it to an .amv file.

If your original video file has too many frames and the amv convert only converts the video at 12 fps, then it will try to find a constant 'average' between the extra frames and you will see that jumping effort.

Let me know how you get on.
