video help with mp4 player

hi i hope someone can help me out here. A few days ago I recieved a knock off "nano type MP4 player it is a Brando. anyway i like it alot but am not sure if my problem is with me or the player. I can download music and snapshots fine but am having trouble with the video part. there was a sample video on it and i thought i deleted just that file but now after i download my own videos and go to the video (AMV) part of my player and hit menu I keep getting a message that states there are no files to play yet when after converting to AMV and downloading it again it tells me the file is already on the player. Can anyone help me?

Thanks Debbi

lilacangel51, Have a look in the settings menu of your player and you should find an entry for "Firmware Version". What information is shown?

Usually when a player does not read a file it is because it is the wrong format but judging from the firmware version it seems to be an AMV format player. The demo you deleted was it just on the player or in a folder. Some players look for files in specifically named folders like AMV, Video or Movies.

You could also try formating the player as there may be errors in the memory.

Try some of these samples and see if they work:

okay I tried the samples and I got one to work it was one that was 128x160 x1 and an AMV so is that the setting I need to use on my AMv converter?

lilacangel51 , you'll need .lrc lyric files that are named the same as the .mp3 files, and both stored in the same folder.

Usually for these players, you'll need to long press the Menu or Play or Volume button. Not sure which one works for your player, so you'll need to try.
