Default AVI converter 3.0 resolution problem.......

Hi all, previously i was using the AVI converter 1.0 and it worked great, but then it got annoying because i use my mp4 mostly for watching movies and videos and whenever i wanna convert files it was always a pain because the 1.0 version can only convert one file at a time. Then i recently downloaded the 3.0 version from this site and i was happy that it can convert multiple files or batch files at once. I tried to use it but then it only showed one resolution option, 320x240. My mp4 has a smaller screen size therefore i need to choose a smaller resolution, the thing is it only shows one resolution in the 3.0 version. I also tried converting the file using the 320x240 resolution but it couldn't play on my mp4 as it showed file format error. I don't wanna use the 1.0 version cuz it's annoying but i can't use the 3.0, any help guys? Can someone modify the program to contain more resolutions possible?

Also i've searched other posts about AVI converting or AVI problems etc, other ppl suggested downloading Xilisoft converter, well i actually used that ages ago for my fone and i also use Imtoo 3GP converter which is exactly the same program as Xilisoft, so be4 u tell me wat to do i just wanna say yes i've used it be4 already and i know i to use it realy well, i even have the full version cuz i got the registration key from www.serials.ws, so basically mine's the full version and i read the posts in this forum and changed the settings, i changed the video codec to XVID and video size etc so i've done everything already but after i converted the file it still wouldn't work on my mp4, the only program that works is the AVI converter. I think it's because AVI files uses different codecs and u need the proper one for it, that's y it's best to use the original program that came with the mp4. Anyway i need some help with the 3.0 version so plz help me.

Also, this is just to show that i've tried the Xilisoft converter (full version) and that i've got the proper settings.

Video : (Similar to High Compress settings in AVConverter)
Video Codec: Xvid
Video Size: 224x176 (It has to be 224 not 220)
BitRate: 200 (above 500 quality gain isn't noticeable)
Frame Rate: 20
Aspect: Auto
Same Quality: False

Audio : (Equal to High Compress settings in AVConverter)
Audio Codec: mp2 (MP3 won't work)
Bit Rate: 64 (96 is the high quality seetings in AVConverter)
Sample Rate: 44100
Channels: 2 (Stereo)
Disable Audio: False

PS: I posted an exact same topic in the Support and How TO section as i didn't see this section at first, so after seeing it i thought it should belong here so i'm posting it here now, sry if i'm double posting or banned the rules or watever.........anyway plz help me.

Download the following zipped file:

http://www.mympxplayer.org/aviconver...-pm-df558.html

In it are two ini files. Converter.ini has been modified to give both 224x176 and 320x240 sizing options. I found that for AVIConverter V3, I had to copy and paste the text from the modified file into my existing V3 converter.ini file (I made a backup copy first) for the program to work properly. To access the converter.ini files there are a couple of hidden file boxes to be unchecked in the folders options under the Tools menu.

Compare the specs of a file converted with v1 that works in your player to one that you've prepared with v3 that you think should work, but doesn't. The following utility will help:

http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

Adjust your conversion parameters accordingly with v3.

If this doesn't work you can also try opening up convert.ini file from V3 and editing the conversion parameters directly to match those of v1 or replace the coding command lines only with those that work from v1 and see if this helps.

Took me a while to find this for you. Was sure that I had seen it on this site somewhere. An external link is mentioned in comments to Tadad1 upload of version 2 in the tools section. Here is the link to AVIConverter V3:

http://uploaded.to/?id=vf55m7

V3 seems to use the same components as V2 but with a modified convert.ini file for screen size 320x240. If your screen size is 224x176 then you should use V2 or modify the convert.ini in V3 appropriately.

The convert.ini can be easily modified to change frame rate, video and audio bitrates. You can create a number of different settings that are appropriate for your uses depending on the videos you're encoding and your player's performance.
