AMV Converter ERROR

I want to convert AVI and MPG files into AMV but every version of AMV Converter I tried gives me only an error. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Most errors are due to codec problems, try installing K-Lite Full Codec pack:

Re: AMV Converter ERROR

I have encountered the same problem. My AMV Video converter(which I had downloaded from www.soft29.com/amv_converter.html) was working fine until I downloaded a video from www.video-center.co.nr. It just simply stated |ERROR| and nothing else.I scanned the file and NO viruses were detected so I viewed your website and tried downloading the K lite codec pack but couldnt, becaue the link does not works.

Help.

Re: AMV Converter ERROR

Nabil,

Try downloading the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack from our site here.

Install it then try converting and let us know how you get on.

okay so I tried to download the K-lite codec pack but it still didnt worked from the link that you had given but then I googled it,found it,downloaded it and it works! However Im stuck in a new problem now. When converting my video to AMV, I forgot to change its size from 128x128 to 160x120. When I viewed the video in my mp4 player,it was very small.I went back to the computer but I had already deleted the downloaded video. Now all I have is the AMV format video and my AMV video conveter does not changes its size now because it is already in AMV format. How can I change its size without downloading the video again? It had taken me about 4 hours to download the video.I've already cleared the history, cookies and deleted all internet files from the internet options.HELP!!

Re: AMV Converter ERROR

Nabil,

You should have been able to download the file from the link I gave you by clicking on the [Download] button.

Videos converted to .AMV have already been compressed and there is already a lost of quality. If you try to do anything else with it again, you will loose more quality. It's best to use the original to encode into .AMV file.

If you've deleted it, what you can try is some 'file recovery' software which might be able to recover the files you deleted. Try Googling for "EasyRecovery Professional", I've used that in the past and that's been good at recovering deleted information.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much the problem is solved but I cant view my videos in the vertical position. I have to turn my mp4 player to 90 degrees in order to view the videos in horizontal position. Is there any other AMV converter that allows videos to be viewed in vertical position and has more chances of better quality, becuz my AMV video converter decreases the quality wayyy down.

There is no other converter, but you can use VirtualDub to rotate the video. ;)
