zippo54,

Did the player come with a sample video file? If so, what format is that in? Perhaps it doesn't support .asf file? Maybe it plays .avi files instead?

What software did you get with your player?

Usually the .asf video format is used on players with the Sunplus chipset which include a camera function. Your player sounds more like a Rockchip player which would use .avi format.
Try these converters and see if they help.

Hi the unit records and plays video and has a camera installed
The video it records is as follows File Type: ASF (.WMA/.WMV)
Sys Bitrate: 782 kb/s
Mime Type: video/x-ms-asf
codec MP4S
Name ISO MPEG-4 Video V1
I have tried to convert using the above setting but no joy as yet
The info below is for the video the unit records at

- - Type DMO
- - Function Decoder
DSH Friendly Name Mpeg4s Decoder DMO
DSH DirectShow CLSID {2A11BAE2-FE6E-4249-864B-9E9ED6E8DBC2}
FIL File Description Windows Media MPEG-4 S Video Decoder
FIL Company Name Microsoft Corporation
FIL File Version 11.0.5721.5145 (WMP_11.061018-2006)
FIL Internal Name mp4sdmod.dll
reserved.
FIL Original Filename mp4sdmod.dll
FIL Product Name Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
FIL Product Version 11.0.5721.5145
REG Driver File C:\WINDOWS\system32\MP4SDECD.dll

Any help on what prog to use to convert video will help thanks
Barry
