i badly needed your help guyss....

hello there! my sister gave me her player a couple of days ago. she's been complaining that the thing is malfunctioning because it started to have so many folders labeled "yyyy.yyyy" but you wont be able to open it. you'll get tired looking for your files.also, most of the times, it hangs. instead of throwing it out of our kitchen window, she handed it to me...

i thought it was virus infected, so i formatted it. after that, i began loading files in it. all things worked out fine except for the video thing. before, it has 2 demo videos in avi format so i confidently put avi videos in it. yes, the player is reading the file extension but once i tried playing it, the screen displays "warning: file format error" i tried all the other video formats and all avi files but it just wont work!

honestly, i dont know what model of player do i have. my sister forgot to tell me and now, i cant find time to talk to her. it has 2" screen, 984 mb capacity(there's a sticker saying its 1gb, but when checking the system settings, it reads
Ver: 00.00.0045
date:2006-06-22
FlashMem:843/984 mb
CardMem: 0/0mb)
yes, it has a mini sd card slot , has music, video, photo, text, record, and game function all working pretty well except for the video! this thing is labeled "sony" but i doubt if this is real! i also found while safely removing it that this is a rockchip usb mp3 usb device. i would appreciate your help really, and if there's a way to fix this problem please someone tell me!
thank you!

Dear blu_tear89

b4 putting avi format file in ur mpx player u have to knew 2 things

first is that the resolution size of ur mpx player & second is the bit rate of the avi file (as u said there s a avi file in sample).

after knowing both thing u have to convert ur desired video in avi format with same criteria that suits ur mpx player.

i will suggest u that u may try avi converter for mpx player.

hope it will help u

hola Blu_tear89

"been complaining that the thing is malfunctioning because it started to have so many folders labeled "yyyy.yyyy" but you wont be able to open it. you'll get tired looking for your files."

-this happend to me once its a good thing reformatted it because there might be something wrong with your files. if your not sure try running a check disk on your drive go to "start-run..." type this "cmd" press enter go to the drive letter of your usb/mp4/mp3 then type "(the letter of your drive):" (dont forget the semicolon) then press enter, when your drive is detected type "chkdsk" press enter. it shoud display this

if it doesnt that drive should be reformatted.

now about the video thing try checking the firmware version and brand of you mp4 and search it in this site, most frimware installer i found on this site came in bundled with converters from video to audio. if your having trouble finding your firmware version try looking "setup" or "settings"just play around there exept for any option saying "language setting" look for anything saying "version" or "ver" thats your firmware version.

hope this helps...
