How to convert mp4/m4v files to AMV
I found a way to convert mp4 and m4v files into AMV. These are common formats for video podcasts.
You will need:
AMV Convert Tool 4 mod (Other versions may work too)
Ffdshow Tryouts
Haali Meda Splitter (click MatroskaSplitter on the right)
First install ffdshow. Add amvtransform.exe to the list of applications for both Video and Audio
Next install Haali Meda Splitter. Uncheck everything but "Enable MP4 support."
Now open your mp4 or m4v file in AMV Converter. Your file will not show up unless you change "Files of type" to "All file(*.*)"
I hope this helps. This method may work to convert other unsupported formats too, but I have not tested it with anything else.
