Yes I used aviconverter with 220*176. I don't have the sample video anymore.. I deleted it when I first got the player because it was some crazy Chinese music video. I'm trying to get the e-bay seller to e-mail me the sample video from the same player right now so that we can get this figured out.

try avi converter
also...
must be used mp2
must be used up to 20 fps

here is a detailed step-by-step conversion posted by RinMPX in topic
http://www.mympxplayer.org/avi-files...ft-vt1619.html

Download Xilisoft Video Converter 3.1
(http://www.xilisoft.com/) its a trial,
you can purchase or "God knows how" to make it full version.
and Use this settings to convert video:

Profile: XviD Movie (*.avi)
Zoom: Full (Keep aspect ratio)

Video : (Similar to High Compress settings in AVConverter)
Video Codec: Xvid
Video Size: 224x176 (It has to be 224 not 220)
BitRate: 200 (above 500 quality gain isn't noticeable)
Frame Rate: 20
Aspect: Auto
Same Quality: False

Audio : (Equal to High Compress settings in AVConverter)
Audio Codec: mp2 (MP3 won't work)
Bit Rate: 64 (96 is the high quality seetings in AVConverter)
Sample Rate: 44100
Channels: 2 (Stereo)
Disable Audio: False

I have converted several clips and works fine

Hi,

I have just tried your software and it works brilliantly.

Many thanks,

For others note that this is not the same as the AVIConverters so don't dismiss it!!

This is extremely tricky:

I've converted lots of videos with Xilisoft because is the only I know that can handle MP2. With it I've used the following settings:
... xvid; 224 x 176 ; MP2; 20 fps
the AVIconvert version provided by OOZU gives the following video settings:
... xvid; 176 x 220 ; MP2; 18 fps... (but video rotated -90°!!!)

MTHUEY device Rockship firmware requires video rotated and my device Rockchip firmware (screen 2.2 firm ver 00.00.0008) do not!!!
The only weird thing in common is use of MP2 instead of mp3 .

According to this Xilisoft MP4 converter will NOT work for you because do not support video rotation, only a video converter with such capability will do the trick but it must support also mp2!!!... Hard to find

geeez!! this chinese builders are really sick!!!
(Finally I've get the manufacturer of my machine which is Shenzhen TJD Information Co., Ltd. who refuses to bring their firmware to anybody!!! damn asshole Larry Liu the manager  )

Due to this this site it's so useful who owns a unbranded MPx is alone without this site!!!
At least two more users have solved their video conversion issues

I did NOT use xilisoft to convert. I just followed the link that ouzu posted. Downloaded the SPECIAL version of AVIconverter and loaded videos like normal. Here is the link again in case anybody else is having the same problem.

No, it is not hard to find. It is hard to find for free. In similar threads discussing AVConverter, I have several times linked to a converter I purchased that does all the things you mentioned. And this was weeks ago, so the answer was sitting right there ;-)
