Default Do I need any codecs on my MP3 player to play .AVI files

I'm having the same exact problem as the person that posted: http://www.mympxplayer.org/-file-for...e-vp32941.html

I have a similar if not the same model shown in the picture. However, I'm still getting the "File Format Error" when I try to convert and play .AVI files. I've downloaded the converter in the link but still cannot get videos to play.

I had to reformat my MP3 player after I unplugged the USB by accident when there was a file transfer going. My question is, are there any pre installed codecs that I may have deleted when I formatted my MP3 player, and are there any I need to play .AVI's on my player. Thanks in advance for any help.
