Hi,

I can confirm that Xilisoft's "DVD to MP4 converter" works perfectly with both 220(224)x176 and 320x240 Rockchip MP4 players. I purchased this over the weekend and it's worth every $.
I was also able to succeed with the 'free-issue' AviConverter which came with each player once I worked out that it needs to put .avi at the end of your filenames , but I REALLY like the flexibility that the Xilisoft software gives you.
For example, instead of coding each of the 4 or 5 VOB files individually one after the other (as with AviConverter), the Xilisoft DVD to MP4 software does it all in one go, straight from analysing the IFO's. It can convert straight from DVD - and it appears to work straight from an original DVD ( Region 2 - I cannot confirm this for other regions).

I know I am repeating what others have written above, but to confirm what has worked for me, I use the following settings:

For the 2" player (224x176)

First, select 'XviD' as the Profile.
For Video Size, manually type "224x176" - on my version (4.0.83 build0178) this size doesn't appear in the drop-down, but manually typing it as I have shown here, works.
Bit Rate - I have found that 512 works 100%.
Frame Rate - at 20FPS, the sound and video remain in sync. Higher FPS ratings result in a slightly smoother video, but the sound lags behind.
Aspect - Auto
Same Quality - False
Audio Codec - MP2 ---This is very important!!--- Although Rockchip players handle MP3 Music fantastically, the video audio must be encoded as MP2 it seems. Xilisost are one of the only ppl who seem to realise this!!
Bit Rate - 128 works for me everytime.
Sample Rate - 44100 - ditto!
Channels - Stereo
Disable Audio - False

For the 2.4" Rockchip players, do exactly as above, but select a video size of "320x240"

The link for the software is http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-to-mp4-suite.html - What's great, is you can download a free trial version which seems to do everything other than it limits your converting to 5 minutes per file.

Good luck, and I hope everyone who's been stuck on this now succeeds! Rockchip players are fantastic value - anyone know if there's a 2.4" version with a removal 'cellphone/mobile' battery on the market yet?

following your advices
the problem was in
video size 224×176

but the problem now " simple "
why audio preceeds the video
on what it depends?
i want them play simultanously

and another " simple " problem
when i begin to charge the mp4 player and log out with long press on " play/pause" button
an animation of charging appears
it was good first
but i borrow the player to a friend
and after that
the animation was not normal
it was cut
and instead of image of charging
it become flash with half-cut picture
it was strang

Mezoomozaa,
I am glad the xilisoft thing works for you - sort of !!

I think your video and audio could be out of sync if you leave the Audio Sample Rate at the default of 48000 (this happened to me). Try a rate of 44100, and the other settings as I have explained above. I am interested to know if this fixes your problem, so please do post your findings!!

With regards to the battery animation, I am afraid I can't help on that one - it might need a re-flash of the firmware but this is very very risky!! Too many people have failed at this, it seems and if the player actually works, maybe leave it alone??!! - over to a more experienced mpx user I think !!
Good luck.

Hiya!
I have a nearly identical "mp4" player as this
http://www.mympxplayer.org/album_sho...php?pic_id=387
except mine's unbranded.
I have a problem converting videos to avi because I don't know its resolution. I had a sample video, an Ice Age 2 clip but I've erased it already.
The screen's dimensions are: 1.5" by 1.25".
Below the screen, where the pic displays MF-M568, Digital MP4 Player 945 is written.
My menu looks like the pic's but mine are arranged in 3 rows and 3 columns. please help me, anyone

Hello, it's almost certainly 220x176 if you use AviConverter or 224x176 if you use something like the DVDtoMP4 converter from xilisoft. I think the true size is the latter as AviConverter makes a mistake calling it 220 ?? (any comments on this point from anyone?? )

 iixorbiusii,
You're right AVIConverter put in its options 220x176 (2.0inchs), but resulting video module is in fact 224x176. I do have (had :wink a 2.2 device that plays such videos pretty well, but other people with 2.0 device plays the same videos ok too.
More on that, if I in my Xilisoft I put 220x176 it fails... it have to be 224x176.
Check resulting video with G-Spot of some other tool like this.
 tastefuldeath,
Download AVIConverter >here < convert any video and let us know how it work
