Default this is why cops shouldnt buy "high tech" electron

well a few months ago i was surfing the net trying to find a new mp3 player since my olympus mrobe had died after a faithful 2 years of service.

my boyfriend whos obessed with dealextreme.com saw that ipod look alike with the camera for above 50$ (i dont remember the actual price). i saw it and i thought i should get it. eventually after weeks of putting it off trying to revive my mrobe (now i just use it as a USB drive) i went to purchase it. low and behold it was no longer on the site and in the descriptions for other mp4 players was uxcell.com (a popular site amongst this forum i see).

well i had purchased the spectrum in 4G that works awesome (until i broke the LCD screen ugh!) and my boyfriend got the "vista" in 2G located here

http://www.uxcell.com/mp4-mp3-digita...50-p-5667.html

Click the image to open in full size.

this thing is giving me SUCH aggitah! because my spectrum was so easy to load i assumed this would be too. music wasnt that bad i mean how simple is it to drag and move? that was easy. it was the movies! ive been trying to read the threads on similiar problems but im not too good on specs (although my inner nerd is banging its head against the desk right now). i started off downloading that AVI converter but i feel that im missing something else.

what software should i get? prefferably ones that are free, or can be OBTAINED FREE (if you know what i mean).

this little player has potential to be good but id like to get my....er i mean my boyfriends money's worth out of this thing! ive only had it in the box since may!

thanks a bunch guys for your help! im sorry im a total n00b at this sort of stuff. ops:

Not sure what problem your having with the movies.

All files are drag and drop loaded. Player will read folders and sub-folders so you can place content in a video folder, music folder, photo folder,...The player will play both MP3 and WMA audio files. Photos can be viewed as .jpg files. The screen on the player is excellent for these.

The player uses a RockChip processor so video must be in XVid format. Convert to XVid using freeware converter AVIConverter V3 or higher. This has the 320x240 pixel option which you need. The lowest resolution conversion setting is quite good. Once converted, drag and drop.

The Convert.ini file can be altered to customise conversion settings. I've done so for better audio.

ok in lamints terms since im feeling a bit stupid, i tried to figure out using the xilisoft (i got the download) and downloaded avi converter. actually the one you mentioned from another member that had a similar problem.

well after dragging it in the player, it said that it didnt recognize the xvid.il or something of another??? what does that mean?!

im really frustrated since im sititng her on my week off from work trying to get this thing to work! i dont think i have any hair left on top of my head lmfao im starting to look like britney spears!

btw, the format for the videos are already on AVI that i got from misc torrent sites. maybe thats whats wrong? i can reformat it to another format THEN use the avi converters????

im at a loss for words

thanks guys <3

Hi Cannon. Please see the response I wrote here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/cannot-pl...er-vt6733.html

I think if you try the settings I've suggested with the Xilisoft demo, your 320x240 Rockchip player should work. I am on a mission to help all the poor (well, lucky really!) Rockchip owners get more than just the French & Chinese dance vids working on their units !
Good luck !
