Because I use vidrop to convert anime for watching on my Zen player, it would be nice to be able to convert an entire folder with the same settings at one time, rather than having to add 12 different files and clicking add to list.

My resolution is 320x240, if I set video bitrate more than 320kbps - "file format error", if it is less - the quality if poor. About the audio (mp2) - the higher bitrate, the longer audio delay from the video. So, tell me what settings to enter, so that to get nice video quality and audio higher than 96kbps (because if it is higher, the delay is terrible)???

Greetings.

Please check if video/audio delay is noticeable when you play the converted video in any media player from your computer. If there is NO delay that means your MP4 player is CCC(Cheap Chinese Crap) class...in which case you can only budget for a new (and better)player...
I use ViDrop on a daily base to convert MPEG1/MPEG2/AVI to XviD .avi and I never had any a/v desync.

Best regards.

all of my video's that i converted to avi using vidrop doens't have sounds at all. the movie plays and has subtitle, but it doesn't have sound when i play it with the avi media player. what could be wrong.

Greetings.

Maybe the audio is disabled...provide a printscreen with the second tab OR in the first one, in the left lower part press "Add" and then copy the script that is been generated below and give us a copy.
We'll take it from here...

Regards.

Hi!

First i want to say thank you for that great program.

When i convert movies with subtitles, skandinavian letters ä (Ä), ö (Ö) and å (Å) will show up as a some russian letters or something. Is that possible to be fixed to the next version?

lokster 6th Feb 2009 6:45 am

@Zido
The problem is that by default, vidrop is setup to use cyrillic text encoding (cp1251) for the subtitles, while the Scandinavian letters are in ISO-8859-1 encoding. Try setting the "Encoding" parameter in "Advanced settings" -> "Subtitles" to ISO-8859-1. This should work.

hi lokster

just tried to convert Rock School DVD with vidrop, unfortunately i was unable to select a language from the list as none appeared, so my vid was in the wrong language

do you know why i was unable to see a list of available languages and is there a fix

cheers, great program BTW and over on mp4nation this is the one that we reccomened to all new users wanting to convert video, is there a full user guide on how to convert vids from DVD available at all, i may have missed it, so sorry about that, but the more basic it is the better, if not i think i will do one but need to ensure things like the DVD languages available will appear for selection

many thanks
