Re: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players
viDrop 0.57.2 is out!
Bugs fixed / new features: - uses latest mencoder from http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php - uses fontconfig for rendering subtitles (subtitles look better) * - instead of selecting a .ttf file for the subtitle font, you can select from the installed System fonts. - subtitle text / outline color actually WORKS now. - added 2 more output file formats - matroska (mkv) and ipod (mp4 specific for ipods) - viDrop now remembers the last used preset name. - some fixes in the "Resize method" internal video filters (so they work correctly with colored subtitles) - added listbox with all detected external subtitles in "Input subtitle" *note: the very first time you open a file with this version, it can take 10-15 seconds. This is due to fontconfig cache being generated. This is done only once, or after you install new system fonts. You can download the new version from: http://www.vidrop.vpunk.co.uk/vidrop-0.57.2-install.msi or ftp://guest%40learnfree%2Eeu:guest@l....2-install.msi |
Good work!
Good work!
You're the best! :P 8) P.S. There are a lot of major changes. Then, why there's minor version change? Maybe rename from v0.57.2 to v0.6? |
thanks for the update
BTW does this do RMVB i have not checked and if not any chance of including this at all, not sure mencoder supports this just a thought |
I am planning 0.6 to be a total rewrite of viDrop.
Cross-platform, with better interface and better localization support. Currently It's roughly 70% complete, and works on Windows and Linux (I am developing it on ubuntu). It will support visual themes (skins) too... :) And it will be just a couple of M bigger. Sounds good, isn't it :) So... I will stick with versions 0.5** until this version is ready. :Edit @makd511 as far as I know, mencoder does not support rmvb, and viDrop - too (for now...). |
Re: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players
Is it possible to get an option to keep original FPS?
I always use the original and now I have to check it first. How is the youtube video download supposed to work? I pasted a valid address but nothing happened. I managed to download the .flv video with the help of DownloadYoutubeVideos.com |
Awesome so many people have recommended this, thanks
Will try it now |
Re: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players
I tried to use subtitles. It looks really good with black outline.
However the Scandinavian characters å, ä and ö does not show right. There are some weird symbols instead. How can I fix this? . . . Ok. Asking too much, trying too little. I changed the character encoding and problem solved :) |

Hey men! first of all i want to thank you for the awesomeness of this program..I have a sunplus pmp and I am planning to convert my movie files to avi..For some reason ViDrop avi's uses Xvid AVI container 1.0 w/c works in my PMP instead of Avi 2.0..It was great and fast..Im planning to replace WinAvi converter with this one.. I want to convert them with the option "Add Borders" to preserve quality....And I also want the subtitle to be on the black borders...The result was awesome....The subtitle was on the black border...Except I have a bit of a problem...
I realized that when you convert the video with black borders with the subtitle..the subtitle was doubled..I mean the subtitle keeps waiting for the next dialog to show up....the result is the last dialog was underneath the present dialog.... any idea??!!http://mympxplayer.org/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif btw im using Vidrop 0.57.2 tnks bro!!!!!http://mympxplayer.org/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif |
