I have found a temporary solution for this bug (until I release the next update):
instead of selecting "Add borders", select "Do not resize", and then add the following parameters to "Extra parameters" -> mencoder

-vf expand=:::::$WIDTH$/$HEIGHT$,scale=$WIDTH$:$HEIGHT$

Note: $WIDTH$ and $HEIGHT$ are "macros" - they will be replaced with the width and height you have selected, so leave them the way they are.

Awesome!!
Im looking forward for the next release...
But for now...
the mencoder parameter works!!!

You ROCK Lokster!!

Im converting a mkv video with subtitle to avi right now...

Hi!

Can you please tell me what settings (audio/video) are you using to convert videos with subtitles for sunplus pmp?
I tried many, but always end up with wrong file type, bad A/V synchronization after few minutes, or with "hickups" every 10-15 seconds.
Thanks!

Can't drop files to the green field

Hi!

I have tried to drag&drop files to the green field. But they are not accepted. Nothing happens :-(

I can only add files [...]-Button

I use a "portable" version...

Thanks, but unfortunately, I still have problem with video hickups every 5-10 seconds (video stops for a short time,
maybe for a half of a second, and then fast forwards for a short time).
A/V also gets out of sync after maybe 25 mins.
Btw, mine PMP is this one.

Re: viDrop - free open-source converter for RockChip players

The keep aspect ratio option converts the video with the desired horizontal resolution and the vertical resolution is calculated so the aspect ratio is correct.

If you convert 4:3 material with the option 400x240 then the final resolution is 400x300. If your player have a 400x240 display then the player have to rescale it.

Is it possible to have the "keep aspect ratio" to keep the final resolution in the limit of 400x240?

Now you have to calculate the optimal horizontal resolution so the vertical resolution is exactly 240 pixels.

If you convert wider than 16:9 videos then it works ok.

It's not recommended to browse the Internet and use the computer when converting.
You can face some errors only because of that.

The portable versions are useful only
if you're using your friend's computer and
haven't administrative rights, can't install programs.

But they're often unstable, so, if it's your computer, you don't need the portable.

Have you encountered bad A/V synchronization while playing them on your pc?

I had the same problem before using a mini sd card.
when i watch videos using the external card the video plays for a few seconds but suddenly stops.
But when I watch them on my pc or on my pmp internal memory they do play without errors.
My mini sd card is probably wack!

I had also encountered bad A/V synchronization while watching videos on my pmp using the internal memory..
I encountered the problem when I fastforward the video..
When i press PLAY the video and audio is out of sync(video works on my pc without A/V problem)

What I did was
press the BACKWARD button for a few seconds
and then PLAY
and then the FORWARD button again for a few seconds
and then PLAY.

after that the A/V was in sync..:)

And one more thing..
I split my movies into 2 or 4 pieces before watching them on my pmp..
